Worthless

You have heard that it has been said by them of old time that you shall not kill, and whoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment of God. But I say unto you that whoever is angry with his brother shall be in danger of his judgment. And whoever shall say to his brother, Raca, or Rabcha, shall be in danger of the council. And whoever shall say to his brother, You fool, shall be in danger of hellfire. (Matthew 5:21-22)

To call your brother or sister Raca is to call them worthless. Christ suffered and died for your brother or sister and you're going to call them worthless? Do you see why this would be offensive to God and invite His judgment?

Not only that, calling someone inflammatory names invites anger.

How are we to have a community at peace and harmony with each other if we keep getting angry with one another? Christ's will is that anything which incites people to angrily fight with one another should end.

Even a single soul stirring up the hearts of others to anger can destroy the peace of all Christ's people. Therefore, it makes sense that Christ would have you not call your brother or sister inflammatory names.

Thinking as to the consequences of doing so. Is it worth it?

It's no longer sufficient to simply not kill. Give no heed to accuse one another. Subdue anger in our heart.

Or risk God's judgment. Our call.
